RacePep — an app by Kraft

Your friends' voices, at every mile.

Friends record short pep talks before your race. On race day, each one plays as you pass its mile — sealed until the start, music ducked, fully offline.

Free for a 5K or 10K · no account · friends record free

How it works

The crowd can't be everywhere. Their voices can.

Most races are run alone, past strangers. RacePep puts the people who actually know you on the course — one mile at a time.

01

Ask your crew

Pick your race and send one link in Messages. Friends grab the free app once, then record a short pep talk right inside the conversation — no account, no sign-up.

02

Voices arrive sealed

Each recording lands on a mile of your course and stays sealed until the start, so every mile is a surprise. The audio reaches you through your own iCloud — never a server of ours.

03

Run — they cheer

On race day the app counts every mile offline. Pass a mile with a voice waiting and it plays over your music, then hands the music back. At the finish, replay every mile.

On the phone

Before, during, after.

The RacePep home screen: a course of thirteen mile markers filling with sealed voices before the Berlin Half
Your course fills with sealed voices as friends record.
The race-day screen mid-race: mile 2 of 3, with three friends waiting at mile 3
Mid-race, the app knows who is waiting at the next mile.
The finish screen: every pep talk listed by mile, ready to replay or share, with written notes from Maya and Dad
After the finish, every voice is yours to replay and share.

The details

Built for the race you actually run.

Sealed until the start
You can see who has recorded, never what they said. The first listen happens on the course.
Notes for after the finish line
Friends can leave a written note too — it opens only once you have finished.
Your music, respected
A pep talk ducks whatever you are listening to, plays once, and steps out of the way.
Bike races too
Pick run or ride, miles or kilometers. The course adapts to the race you actually entered.
Counts miles offline
Race day needs no signal. Distance is measured on your phone, and the voices are already there.
On your wrist too
RacePep runs on Apple Watch: miles and heart rate from the wrist, cheers in your ears, the phone free to stay in your pocket.
Pick who plays where
Choose which friend plays at each mile, and back up your pep talks to your own iCloud.

Questions, answered plainly

Do my friends need to buy anything?
No. Supporters download the free app once and record right inside Messages — no account, no sign-up, nothing to pay, ever.
Does RacePep work offline?
Yes. On race day it counts every mile on your phone with no signal needed, and your friends' voices are already stored on the device.
Where does the audio live?
On your phone. Pep talks travel from your friends to you through your own iCloud — Kraft runs no server that ever sees them. There is no account and no tracking.
What's free, and what does Patron add?
A 5K or 10K with a few pep talks and the highlights screen is free, permanently. Kraft Patron — $14.99 once or $1.99 a month — unlocks every distance, half or full or custom, with unlimited voices at every mile, plus everything in every other Kraft app.

Someone's race is coming up.

Set up their course, hand the link to the group chat, and let the voices pile up while they taper.
